Tennessee Valley Author Event: Spotlight, Interview and Giveaway: Brooke Cumberland

With the Tennessee Valley Author Event looming only days away, I'm spotlighting some of the authors from the event! For those of you who can come to the event this is a great way to get to know a little bit about each of the attending authors ... and for those of you too far away to come, this is a chance to discover new authors and new books that just might be right up your alley! And so, without further ado:

Brandi Kennedy: Brooke Cumberland, welcome to my blog!

Brooke Cumberland: Thanks for having me! Happy to be here.

Brandi Kennedy: Why don't you tell my readers a little bit about yourself?

Brooke Cumberland: I'm a stay at home mom living in the frozen tundra of Packer Nation AKA Wisconsin. I've been writing for a long time, just not always my own stories. I started writing song lyrics and short stories in high school. Then came college and I had a lot of reflection and research papers, that I actually found enjoyable. Then I decided on grad school where I wrote some more ... except is wasn't as fun anymore. During a winter break, I downloaded a bunch of books from iBooks and began reading every single day. It made me realize I missed writing and I decided to join writing communities online. It was then that Kitchen Affairs was born - and I haven't been able to stop writing since. I decided grad school was no longer for me. I wanted a career in writing. It was my calling.

Brandi Kennedy: It's amazing how that worked out! Will TNVAE be your first signing event, or are you more of a seasoned pro at this point?

Brooke Cumberland: This will actually be my fifth signing - all from this year!

Brandi Kennedy: How many titles do you expect to have available by the time of the event?

Brooke Cumberland: At least six.

Brandi Kennedy: Wow! And will you be bringing all of your titles to the event?

Brooke Cumberland: Yes, more than likely.

Brandi Kennedy: I see. In the meantime, is there a way for fans to contact you, if they wish to order signed copies of books you won't be bringing with you? Or if they won't be able to attend the event but would like to order books anyway?

Brooke Cumberland: Absolutely. You can order signed copies from me anytime on my site.

Brandi Kennedy: That's great! What other forms of social media can readers use to follow you and your writing?

Brooke Cumberland: Facebook, Pinterest, Twitter, my blog, and Goodreads.

Brandi Kennedy: Well, I'm really looking forward to meeting you at the Tennessee Valley Author Event, Brooke. Thanks so much for taking the time to answer my questions today.

Brooke Cumberland: Thank you and I'm super excited to meet you and all the readers soon!

Alright, readers, there you have it! Brooke Cumberland!
